You mean the material Hussein had before the Gulf War? He didn't have access to it and didn't have the material available to him. Yellowcake by itself is not a WMD, its uranium ore isn't dangerous, and isn't even ready to be enriched meaning it has no use as a weapon. Fortunately, the attendant facilities needed were destroyed by the Israelis before the Gulf War!

Wow, great debating skills, even Bill and Hillary Clinton have stated that there was clear evidence of WMD's. So has Al Gore, prior to the Bush administration being in office, not to mention John Kerry (kerry actually mentioned it in 2003), Gore even acknowledged that Iraq had ties to terrorism in 92 during a speech while he was VP nominee. just pointing out that, contrary to popular belief, it wasn't just the Republicans but the Democrats as well who were making statements acknowledging the existence of WMD's as well as links to Terrorism in Iraq prior to the war and prior to Bush's presidency. And yellow cake without processing is not a threat by itself but you've got to be a real idiot to think that Hussein was keeping it around because he liked the pretty color.

(1) Why are you trying to divert the issue? It may be a popular belief, but I still don't understand what relevance that has to do with the issue at hand. Nonetheless, I was never apart of that popular belief, and anyone who adheres to that notion is an idiot. The yellowcake was safeguarded and stored in ageing drums before 1991 Gulf War, and there is no yellowcake in Iraq dating after 1991 and they've known about it for decades!

(2) Only AFTER Hussein's execution, U.S. and Iraqi forces guarded the yellowcake site. This was because of looting from the local villagers due to poor management (Best military?). They didn't see it as a threat, being that there were no processing facilities (Bombed in the 1981) and they only bothered to guard it because of the desperate locals after Hussein's death from using the storage barrels as drinking water cisterns.
