Giuliani single-handedly saved New York City (well before 9/11). He lost a narrow race in '89 but came back and won in '93 and was re-elected in a landslide in '97. He worked in Reagan's conservative Justice Dept but had to tack left as mayor in order to get important issues (crime, quality of life, etc) taken care of.

My biggest concern for Rudy is that he help botch up any investigation of the 9/11 attack as for how the building went down. In every fire their is a forensic study, and a matter of procedure and a clear mind.
Bush election were full of doubt, a followup study denied.

This is not the kind of leadership I would want that promotes a closed government and leave things in doubt.

hey encierro75...Giuliani was elected mayor 8 months after the first terrorist attempt on the WTC. In that time until 911 he took no interest in any counter terrorism programs for the city of New York. He also ordered the evidence,the entire crime scene of 911, SHIPPED AWAY not to be examined,but destroyed.He also talked about the buildings COLLAPSING before any of them did, on television. Doesn't sound like a hero to me, sounds like something much worse.
